Must have PPE products for any workplace!

Lockdown restrictions have lifted and offices all over the UK are opening again. To keep your employees and workspace as clean and COVID-free as possible, we are expected to undertake a few steps and measurements. To help you figure this post-lockdown office life out, we have listed a few must-have PPE products to have in stock in the office at all times.

1.       Disposable gloves

Depending on your job sector these could be mandatory but nevertheless, these can come in handy in any office. Whether you use a shared kitchen or breakroom, these can be put on to do the dishes without having to disinfect to whole space afterwards. Some employees might always prefer to wear gloves so be understandable as an employer and make sure you stock up on disposable gloves.

2.       Infrared thermometer

As part of control measures to monitor the health of workers, some companies are using infrared thermometers to check the temperature of their workforce on site. In one second, this device will display your body temperature. When over 37,5°C a fever alarm will sound, if that happens it is advised to return home in order not to spread the virus in office.

3.       3 Ply Social Distancing mask

Face masks are now compulsory on public transport and shops to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible. To help remind your employees, always keep a stock of these available. They might prefer to wear one during the day and will have to change them every three hours on average.

4.       FFP2 Face Mask

Depending on what your job purpose is, it might be a good idea to stock up on some FFP2 face masks. The mask’s 3D shape is designed according to the ergonomics of your face to ensure a secure fit and increase in breathing capability. In general, these masks are more comfortable to wear and breathe during the day.

5.       Antibacterial handwash

You will always need a few of these to keep around restrooms and kitchens. However, during these times, it is advised to regularly wash your hands so these will be used up in no time. Always make sure to keep a decent stock of hand wash so your employees have it available whenever. After all, it is the most vital regulation to overcome this pandemic!

6.       Alcohol hand sanitiser gel

In addition to the hand wash, you could supply each employee with their own bottle of alcohol hand sanitiser. Instead of having to wash their hands regular in a shared sink, they can easily disinfect their hands with a simple action from their desk. This also decreases further contamination on surfaces throughout the office.

7.       Antibacterial surface hand wipes

Make it a common habit in the office to clean up whenever you use a shared device or space. Keep a decent amount of hand wipes in stock to clean printers, kitchen utensils, tables, desks, etc. Spread these in sight throughout the office and in shared spaces so everyone is reminded to clean up after themselves.

8.       Antiviral disinfectant

Office spaces require a deep cleaning more often than usual from now on. Stock up on cleaning supplies and opt for antiviral products to ensure optimal results. The safe formula is suitable for use on most non-porous surfaces and leaves treated surfaces safe for human contact.

9.       Anti-Viral Door Push Pad

To fully guarantee the safety of your employees, you can now install Safe Pads on frequently used doors or surfaces. The coating used for these pads will greatly reduce the infection rate and transmission of the virus. It contains silver ions, which safely inhibits microbial growth. While still regularly cleaning this pad, its antiviral properties can last up to two years.

At Hivis.net we have dedicated a webpage specifically to PPE products to help you stock up and stay safe after lockdown. These items are available for individuals and business owners who wish to keep their workspace safe. Find all available products here, as these are in high demand, try to order in advance.
