Young Enterprise Company Creates Hivis Clothing For Dogs!
When it comes to hivis clothing, you tend to usually think
of children going to school, lollipop ladies and construction site workers.
Your mind probably wouldn’t turn to cute fluffy dogs at first.
But this looks set to change thanks to a group of teenagers
from Belfast who, as part of their Young Enterprise Company venture at school,
have recycled lots of old material to help make dogs safer when they’re out and
about near roads, the Belfast
Telegraph reports.
The group of nine dog lovers (who attend Bloomfield
Collegiate School) set up Hi Vis Hounds and started making lots of brightly
coloured bandanas. Pupil Maeve Hollywood said: “Every year, thousands of dogs
are killed on our roads. Hi Vis Hounds was borne out of a group of like-minded
pupils who decided to get together to help tackle this problem and, in turn,
help the environment.”
The idea could even be adopted by tradesmen who work for
themselves. How often do you see someone doing work on someone’s house with
their little Jack Russell sitting in the van, waiting patiently? Safety on
building sites is paramount, so having a little high vis jacket for your pooch
might be a good idea if you take him or her to work with you on a regular
basis!
Of course, if you’re looking for clothes for people rather
than pups, give us at The Site Supply Co a call. We’ll be able to kit you and
your team out in no time at all.
