Downpours Predicted For Weekend Weather
Now’s the time to stock up on
high visibility wet weather clothing if you want to make sure that your members of staff are able to do their jobs safely.
It’s now being predicted that the weekend (September 3rd-4th) is going to be a washout, with heavy downpours seen across much of the UK,
the Daily Mirror reports. In fact, more than an inch of rain is being forecast for the west of the country, so if you work in this part of the UK make sure that you take extra precautions when on site.
Luckily, however, this wet weather appears to be relatively short-lived, with forecasters predicting that warm temperatures will hit the middle of next week with highs of 26 degrees C.
"Friday will be breezy with some sunny spells however there will be some persistent rain in the northwest. Elsewhere it will be cloudy with a little bit of rain, then on Saturday we expect some wet weather spreading in from the north-west and showers could be heavy across England and Wales,” forecaster with the Met Office Alex Burkill was quoted by the news source as saying.
Of course, you should always wear high vis clothing if you work in a job that requires it, but it’s especially important to wear reflective items if you’re outside and visibility is poor. Keep an eye on the weather reports so you know what to expect. Health and safety should always be at the forefront of your mind if you want to avoid accidents at work.
